If you don't know for sure, it is possible that you may not go to heaven. If I could show you from the Bible how you could know for sure that you would go to heaven when you die, would you be willing to do what the Bibles says?
Why Do We Need Salvation?
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10
Do you believe what the Bible says, that no one is righteous? Do you believe that your neighbour is not righteous? Do you believe that I am not righteous? If your neighbour is not righteous, and I am not righteous, then what according to this verse does that make you?
Why Are None Righteous?
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
Do you believe what God's Word says? Do you believe that everyone has sinned? Do you believe that your neighbours have sinned? Do you believe that I have sinned? If all have sinned, and your neighbour has sinned, and I have sinned, then you have sinned too, haven't you?
Where Did Sin Come From?
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12
Adam and Eve were responsible for bringing sin into this world, and along with sin came death.
What Will Happen To Us Now?
Sin has a price. . ."For the wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23
The death spoken of here is physical as well as spiritual. When we are born once (physically) we die twice (physically and spiritually); when we are born twice, (physically and spiritually) we die only once (physically).
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the Second Death." Revelation 20:14
Who will be cast into the lake of fire which is the second death?
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the Second Death." Revelation 21:8
You have said that there is none righteous, and that you are not righteous, right?
You have acknowledged that all have sinned, and that you too have sinned, right?
You also admit that the wages of sin is death which is the second death, right? If you are not righteous, and you have sinned, you will not go to heaven, is that right? But you want to go to heaven.
God Has Provided A Way (the only way).
". . .but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"But God commendeth (proves) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus came into the world to take our penalty for sin. He took our judgment upon himself so that we could go to heaven, if we believe in all that He has done for us.
How Can We Know For Sure?
Let's look to the Bible. . .
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Will you this moment believe in Jesus, receive Him, and call upon Him to save you now? If you believe that God will save you, you will go to heaven.
